Running Start – 5K Prep is a 12-week training program designed for people of all ages and fitness levels who want to gradually ease into running or maintain a distance up to 3 miles. This group meets once a week. We incorporate a run/walk technique to allow the body to adapt to new levels of exercise and insure no one gets left behind. The atmosphere is supportive, fun, and non-competitive.
Running Start – 5K Prep is right for you if you:
- Can comfortably walk at a brisk pace for 30 minutes, a few times a week
- Are pain-free from injury for at least three months
- Would like to be able to run/walk three miles
Session Dates: August 7, 2018 – November 3rd, 2018
Target Race: Jumping Cactus 5k (November 3, 2018)
Meets: Once a week on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.
Location: East and Northwest (*minimum number of registrants needed)
Registration Fee: $115 (5K race entry fee included)
